Kyle is located along Interstate Highway 35, 20 miles south of Austin, 8 miles north of San Marcos and approximately 60 miles north of San Antonio. In the 1990s much of Kyle was still ranch land, but as the community grew new home subdivisions began to pop up as well as other commercial developments creating the small town charm of today.
