Spring in Austin is a wonderful time of year. The bluebonnets are blooming, trees are filling out and we all start venturing out more. With the last year we are all probably ready to get out and be part of our amazing community again and enjoy what we love about Austin. Austin is a city of many “hats”. Don’t you think? There are so many different things you can do in and around town. Activities for kids, adults, dog lovers, hikers, beer/wine drinkers, art lovers, music lovers, families….the list could go on and fill up this entire page, but you get the picture.
I also love being a source of information for you. I have done some homework and would like to share some fun activities that will be occurring over the next couple of months. Whether you are venturing inside or outside there is something for everyone.
April:
Moontower Comedy Series: This event takes place at the Paramount and some other locations around town. The Paramount is the original performing arts venue. With all the changes occurring in and around downtown it is nice to see this original piece of Austin. The Moontower Comedy Series brings Austin the best in comedy and podcasts to our great city.
Tuesday Twilights at Lady Bird Johnson Park: Lady Bird Johnson park is staying open until 8pm on Tuesdays March 23-May 11 so you have more time to see the exquisite wildflowers. You will also be serenaded as you walk through the wildflowers by very talented musicians. Be sure to check their schedule for the artist each week.
Weird Homes Tour: Oh, you know I love me a good weird home. We should do this one together! We’ll need to check back for the final date and time. This event is as it says, a tour of weird homes in the Austin area. If you can’t wait for an in-person tour, check out their website. There are a few virtual options on there for you.
Good Vibes Only Music Series by The Long Center: You can enjoy this even in the comfort of your own home. This is a FREE event with fully and safely produced in their Rollins Studio Theatre. You do have to reserve a ticket but it is at no cost to you. They are working to get Austin back to the energy, music and “Old Austin”. Let’s help them do that and enjoy some music in the process.

Latino Music Month: You can enjoy some live music every Friday at noon on the Plaza at Austin City Hall.
The Rookie Tri: I love a good challenge. How about you? Unlike what the event name suggests, this is good for rookies and veterans alike. This would be good practice for anyone who loves fitness, a great challenge and if you are ready to check this off your bucket list would be a great event.
Hot Luck Fest: This is a Live Music & Food festival. It will look a little different this year, but if you are interested in this event keep checking back to their website where they will post their 2021 updates.
