Adoption and Fundraising Event with New Hope Animal Rescue
Community events and fundraising are my jam. I love staying connected with community organizations and teaming up with New Hope Animal Rescue for an adoption and fundraising event was an one for the books. This year may have included a different organization than in previous years, but I did keep it at The Austin Beer Garden. They have always and continued to be animal lovers and this is our 3rd year running having a community event with them.
Who is New Hope Animal Rescue?
New Hope Animal Rescue is dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats facing euthanasia in shelters. They prioritize the care and rehabilitation of animals, regardless of age, breed, or health conditions, preparing them for loving homes through medical attention and emotional support. They also advocate for community involvement in alleviating shelter overcrowding by promoting spaying and neutering your pets and the important of doing that.
New Hope Animal Rescue is local to Austin, Texas and they are solely dependent on their network of volunteers, fosters and donors. They are a smaller rescue in need of a lot of help from generous, and helpful animal lovers.
How can I help New Hope Animal Rescue?
They offer a variety of ways to help, however, they do not have a brick and mortar. They work within the community to provide the volunteer opportunities that benefit them and the animals most.
Cat Caretaker and Socializer at PETSMART & Petco, Austin Texas
Cat caretakers and socializers are a critical component of their cat rescue. Training is provided.
Pet Profile Writer:
If you love to write, this one is for you. You will write captivating and accurate pet profiles on PetFinder.com. You will also be responsible for contacting fosters to retrieve additional photos and more details of a pets personality.
Adoption Assistant:
You will help with the initial reference checks on applications for both dogs and cats.
Rescue Animals Foster:
This is just what is sounds like. You will be a foster for dogs and / or cats. You will bring them into your home, care for and love on the animals that are in need.
Adoption Event Coordinator and Assistant:
You will help at weekend adoption events in Austin, TX.
Fundraiser Coordinator:
You can host an adoption and fundraising event, like I did, online, at your home or business. Funds assist them in paying for medial care, food, crates, bedding and supplies. In addition they also have an Amazon Wish List for in-kind donations. Event just a little bit helps!
Freedom Rides Driver:
Oh, this one sounds fun! You will be added to a list of contacts who are willing to drive to a shelter to transport animals they have tagged for rescue.

The Details
If you have never been to one of my events you better get on board. They are fun, active and you get to meet and greet with some pretty cuddly animals. Even if you aren’t in the market for a pet, come out, have a drink and some pizza on me and let’s reconnect over our love of animals. It is my goal to help save all the animals and this is my chance to help do that.
We gathered at The Austin Beer Garden, which is a local brewery and eatery on South Oltorf. Have you been? They have good beer, good food and LOTS of seating (in and out). This location in the spring and fall are perfect with their big oak trees and communal tables. Plenty of space for us to catch up and enjoy Austin’s beautiful weather.
I love having my fundraising events here because they are not new have animal fundraisers. The ABGB partners with Austin Pet’s Alive! to help them raise awareness and find fur-ever homes for their animals.
How did it go?
I am very excited to say this fundraiser was very successful! We raised $2000 dollars in monetary donations, 28 packs of turkey and chicken dog food from The Farmer’s Dog as well as cans of Kirkland brand chicken soft food, peanut butter, dry dog food and puppy training pads were also brought as donation to the party. In addition to all the amazing donations 6 applications have been submitted for 6 different dogs. Yall, this is huge!! Not only did we raise money and supplies for this organization we helped foster/adopt 6 dogs!!!

After these events my heart is always full from the generosity of my community. I love events where I can help others and see my favorite people all at the same time. It is my pleasure to thank Kelley Rice for all she does for New Hope Animal Rescue, allowing me the opportunity to throw this shindig and asking her fosters to bring out some of the dogs they have available for adoption. I would also like to thank Denise Vincent with First American Title, my friend and very accomplished Escrow Officer, for donating some fantastic dog food and of course ALL of you that came out, supported, donated, and adopted. Without you there would be no event. THANK YOU!!! My gratitude has no bounds and I am so thank for you and my community of amazing friends, clients and fellow animal lovers.
